Lambert scores five CMA nominations

Country music superstar and Lindale native Miranda Lambert led the way with five nominations for the 51st annual Country Music Awards, which will be presented on Wednesday, Nov. 8 in Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

Lauren Alaina, Dustin Lynch and Brothers Osborne appeared on “Good Morning America” on Labor Day (Sept. 4) to announce this year’s nominees.

Lambert is nominated for Single of the Year for “Tin Man,” Music Video of the Year for “Vice,” Album of the Year with “The Weight of These Wings” and Female Vocalist of the Year.

Lambert won the latter category for six straight years from 2010-2015.

This year’s show is scheduled to be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.
