Lady Eagles split district games


Jacksonville came to Lindale this past Friday and managed to shut down the Lady Eagle offense in a 2-0, District 17-5A softball victory at the LISD Baseball and Softball complex.

The setback puts the Lady Eagles at 4-2 in league play with district games coming this week against Ennis and at Whitehouse on Friday, April 13.

Leading hitters for the Lady Eagles were Hannah Knox, Jodi DeHart, Sarah Day and London Reue against Jacksonville.

Nacogdoches, 20-1

Erupting for 16 runs in the third inning, the Lindale High School Lady Eagles drilled Nacogdoches’ Lady Dragons, 20-1, Wednesday night (April 4) in Nacogdoches in a District 17-5A softball contest.

Pitchers Hannah Knox and Sarah Day limited Nacogdoches to just four hits.

Leading the offense was Jodi DeHart with three RBIs on three hits, including a double.

Hannah Knox slugged two doubles with four RBIs, while Morgynn Zemer had a triple and three RBIs, London Reue added two singles and Sarah Day, Dee Saunders and Gracie Spearman all had a hit.

Other Lady Eagles driving in runs included Dee Saunders, Spearman, Reue, Summer Pruett, Allie Anderson and Tyra Rodden.
