October promises to be another busy month for the chamber with Countryfest and the Harvest Hustle 5K run both taking place on Saturday, Oct. 14.

Countryfest, always one of the biggest fall events in East Texas, gets under way at 10 a.m. and continues through 4 p.m. in The Cannery district downtown.

In addition to arts and crafts booths and food vendors, live entertainment will be offered throughout the day as well as carnival games, the Texas Bank and Trust Climbing wall and the Lindale Police Department’s Kids ID booth.

The Harvest Hustle 5K run, sponsored by Longhorn Ford and Lonestar Ram, will benefit the David Powell Food Pantry, the Lindale ISD Foundation, the Lindale Volunteer Fire Department and the Lillie Russell Memorial Library.
