ET Writer’s Guild plans annual writing conference

The East Texas Writers Guild’s 15th annual Summer Writing Conference,

“The Power of the Pen,” is set for Saturday, July 14, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Tyler Junior College’s West Campus, 1530 S SW Loop 323in Tyler, publicity officials announced.

Designed for writers of all genres, the conference will focus improving the craft of writing for attendees, as well as offer the opportunity to network with fellow writers.

The line-up of speakers and their topics, include Roger Leslie: “Narrative Point of View-A Different Perspective,’’ John Foxjohn: “The Heart of the Story, Alan Bourgeois: Marketing Renegade Style’’ and Devorah Winegarten: “How Old Do I Have to Be to Write Memoir?’’

Each session will be followed by a question and answer opportunity. Door prizes will be given awarded throughout the day and speaker’s book will be available for purchase.
