Memorial services for David Garland Irwin, 52, of Lindale were held Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 at Grace Community Church in Tyler with Dr. Billy Smythe and Gen. James “Red’’ Brown officiating.
Services were under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale.
Mr. Irwin died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018 at his residence in Lindale.
He was born in Henderson, Texas on July 11, 1966 to Garland Wilton and Jeanne (Ross) Irwin and was a longtime resident of Lindale.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a managing partner of Tyler Ford.
Mr. Irwin was a well-known philanthropist and was a long-time contributor to the East Texas Crisis Center, Therapet Animal Assisted Therapy and many other charitable organizations in Lindale and East Texas.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lindale and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Imogene and Jack Ross and Lillian and Wilton Irwin.
Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years, Tracy Irwin of Lindale; daughter, Katie Irwin of Dallas; son, David Irwin of Houston; parents, Garland and Jeanne Irwin of Lake Cherokee; twin sister, Deanne Irwin Monro of Houston; sister, Cindy Irwin of Houston; mother and father-in-law, Ollie and Karen Brown of Lindale; brother-in-law, Chad and Karen Brown of Lewisville as well as several nieces, great nieces and nephews and a host of other beloved family and friends.
