Christmas in Lindale, parade coming soon

Now that another successful Countryfest is in the books, holiday events will begin their move to center stage during the next few weeks, including the always popular Christmas in Lindale celebration and the accompanying Lindale Rotary Club Christmas Parade.

Both the parade and the Christmas in Lindale will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1.

The parade will begin at 6 p.m. in the E.J. Moss Intermediate School parking lot, turn north on Highway 69 and conclude in the parking lot of Lindale’s First Baptist Church.

The Christmas in Lindale celebration, which will feature the lighting of the city Christmas Tree at 7:30 p.m., will take place from 7 p.m.-9 p.m.

Inside Picker’s Pavilion, youngsters will be able to meet Santa Claus and have their picture taken with the magical elf.

Other activities include face painting for the youngsters and performances by local dance studios. Plenty of food items, games and prizes will be part of the evening’s activities as well.
