JH girls beat Nacogdoches

Both “B’’ teams won while the “A’’ teams slipped as the Lindale Junior High School Lady Eagles basketball squads played Nacogdoches Monday night (Dec. 3).

The 7th grade “B’’ team won, 28-10, while the 8th grade “B’’ team claimed a 25-10 victory.

Over on the “A’’ team side, the 7th graders fell 25-22 while the 8th graders lost, 24-22.

For the 7th grade “B’’ team, Alicia Castaneda was the leading rebounder while Maiyah Sims was the leader in steals. Catia Bell led the team in assists while Kim Aubuchon was the leading scorer.

The 8th grade “B’’ team was led in rebounding by Kaitlyn Dockery and Autumn Burris, while Avery Beeler was the leader in steals. Erin Tomlinson led her team in assists and Avery Beeler, Onnika Poe, Kaitlyn Dockery, Autumn Burris and Erin Tomlinson were the leading scorers.

For the 7th grade “A’’ team, the leading rebounders were Taylor Webb, Savannah Reynolds and Lorin Reue, while Lorin Reue was the leader in steals.

Ryleigh Rand led in assists while Lauren Summer was the scoring leader.

The 8th grade “B’’ team had Michaela Walker as the leading rebounder, while Makayla Hall was the leader in steals. Camden Brown led in assists and Makayla Hall was the leading scorer.
