Services for Alice Wells, 73, Lindale, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday Dec. 15 at Eubank Funeral Home Chapel in Canton with Brother Mike Newby officiating.
Burial will be in Cool Springs Cemetery, Van Zandt County.
She passed away December 12 in Tyler.
Mrs. Wells was born Jan. 21, 1939 in Yuba City, Okla., to Malcolm Opid and Edith Audry Tinsley Hamby.
She grew up in Yuba, Okla., where she graduated high school and played on the basketball team.
Mrs. Wells worked in Dallas, as an accountant for the Dallas Independent School District, where she met her husband. They were married on Nov. 5, 1960.
They moved to Lindale in 1984. She enjoyed crafts, interior decorating, sewing and raising her two boys. She was a very loving mother, wife and grandmother.
Survivors are husband, Glen Wells of Lindale; son, Steven and Terri Wells of Teague, Texas; son, Dale and Annette Wells of Naples, Texas; grandchildren, Michelle Troxell, Amber Wells, Justin Wells, Jacob Wells, Clayton Wells, Lana Wells; great grandchildren, Adam Troxell, Tori Troxell; brother, Lee Hamby; sisters, Shirley Coburn, Belle Suiter and Jackie DeGraffenreid and brother, Tinsley Hamby.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Martha Hamby.
Pallbearers include Steven Wells, Dale Wells, Jacob Wells, Justin Wells, Clayton Wells and Dr. Wendell Hand.
Family will receive friends Friday 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
