Lindale girls lose, 54-49

The Lindale Lady Eagles took the lead at halftime but were unable to hang on as the Pine Tree Lady Pirates carved out a 54-49 win Tuesday night in the LHS gym.

Lindale is now 6-3 on the season and Pine Tree improved to 8-1.

The Lady Eagles fell behind after one period, 17-11 but rallied to claim a 26-25 lead at the half.

Pine Tree kept its deficit at one after the third period, 39-38, but opened up a lead in the fourth period and hung on for the victory.

Lindale was led by Neeley Doss with 15 points, while Zhanelle Geathers had 12, Paige Murphy scored nine, Natasha Malone scored four,  Hannah Brown scored four and Symonne Brookins scored three.

Next up for the Lady Eagles is the Edgewood Tournament, scheduled to get under way on Thursday, Dec. 6.
