Library has several new fiction titles

We have a few new books at the library to tell you about. “Killing Kennedy” by Bill O’Reilly is on the hot list for nonfi ction.

Other fiction titles include “The Racketeer” by John Grisham, “The Casual Vacancy” by J. K. Rowling, who wrote the Harry Potter novels, and yet another novel by Danielle Steel, “The Sins of the Mother.”

Virgil Flowers is back in John Sandford’s “Mad River,” and “The Round House” is written by Louise Erdrich and is the winner of this year’s National Book Award for fiction.

Due to some pretty severe cutbacks in the library’s budget, we won’t be able to purchase very many new books. If you buy and enjoy a “best seller,” please pass it along to your library. We’ll be happy to give you a gift receipt for tax purposes.

After discovering a conflict with the Community Room last weekend, the Teen Advisory Board was brave enough to re-schedule its Family Movie Night. They’ll be showing the Disney movie “Brave” on Friday night, Dec. 7 at 5:30 p.m. Bring a new toy for a charity drive, or pay $2 for admission.

The library is all dressed for Christmas with trees, garlands and decorations. We’ve set up a special book display for children, from the original story of the Nativity of Jesus, all the way to reindeer with bright noses.

Come check them out at your library.
