Officials with the Lindale Christmas Helpers say bags for donations are available for anyone wishing to help with the annual charity drive to collect toys, food and clothing for needy families in the Lindale area.

Monetary donations are always welcome, officials say.

Also, volunteers are needed to help wrap the gifts that will be purchased.

Each bag has a specific list of items requested and those picking up the bags can purchase these items.

Each bag will contain information about the intended recipient’s gender, age and size.

Bags are ready to be picked up at the Lindale Area Chamber of Commerce, 205 S. Main Street or at the Lindale News and Times, 104 S. Main Street.

Also, each bag will contain any special requests from the recipient.

The bags should be returned to the original point of pick up no later than Dec. 15.

This program has been extremely successful due to the generosity and caring spirit of the citizens and businesses of the Lindale area.

For more information on this program and volunteer opportunities, contact Fran Reinheimer at the Lindale News and Times at 903-882-8880.
