LINDALE LIBRARY NEWS

Rotary Club continues to help Lindale Library

Flash back to the 1990s, when the Lindale Library was struggling to come into existence.

The Rotary Club of Lindale was one of our first supporters, and we are happy that they still support us today. In addition to honoring their speakers each week with a donated book to the library, they recently gave the library $1,800 to help with our operating expenses.

We appreciate the Rotary Club for all its interest and help over the years.

The Teen Advisory Board is sponsoring another Family Movie Night on Friday, Nov. 30. They’ll be showing the new, just-out “Brave,” beginning at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $2 each, or you can bring a new toy instead.

The Lindale Library will join other businesses in the Lindale Area Chamber of Commerce with an Open House on Saturday, Dec. 1.

From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., we’ll help you cut your kitchen baking time with a Christmas Cookie Sale in the Community Room.

In addition to Christmas gift baskets made by the Friends, we have gently used books from our used book room, fleece blankets, aprons, potholders and other volunteer-made items to help you get started with your gift list. Enjoy your shopping and support your library.
