Donations sought to help send care packages to troops
and the student body were presented with a framed collection of pictures, and a thank you note from the Marines.
During the annual
Rotary Club’s Christmas Parade this Saturday in downtown
Lindale you will see youngsters pulling wagons carrying donation boxes.
These youngsters are members of the
Young Builders Club at Lindale Junior High
School and they are collecting money to help send care packages to our military men and women fighting to keep us free.
Members of the Marine Corps Women’s
League Auxiliary said donations are needed to help defray the cost of shipping these care packages, which cost
$13.45 per box.
“Times are hard,’’ said Sharon Coffman of the MCWLA. “But any amount you could spare to support the work of these junior high students to send items to our troops would be greatly appreciated by so many.’’
