Memorial services for Shirley Forrer, 86, of Tyler and formerly of Hideaway and Fort Worth are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015 in the Browning Heights Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth with family members officiating.

Mrs. Forrer died Tuesday, June 23, 2015 in Tyler. She was born in Wichita, Kan., on Nov. 30, 1928 to the late Donald Raymond and Gladys Cleota (Ramsey) Stutler.

She was a homemaker and “super mom” and was very active in the Hideaway Lake Community activities including golf, tennis and social events. She was a member of the Hideaway Lake Community Church and sang in the choir.

Mrs. Forrer was also well known for her wonderful expression of music through her incredible whistling talent.

Mrs. Forrer is survived by her four children, Cathy Carter of Whitehouse; Ann Ray of Atascocita; Doug Forrer of Midlothian, Va., and Dan Forrer of Argyle; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
